Theme: “Symmetry is Overrated”
I want to play with the idea of intentional and surprising asymmetry across my builds

A humble chunk of 2x4
Angle is misaligned after cutting the lid. I repeated the cut to fix this.
Yay!
Mapping out the cutout in the body of the box
Cleaned up the inside with a chisel, used some sandpaper to git rid of rough inside edges and the belt sander to remove pencil marks
It’s done!!
Angled cuts on the bandsaw for asymmetry
Adding a screw as a pivot point
The lid pivots!
Cut out the hole with a drill press + a fostner bit
Aaaand I managed to chisel myself 🫠
There are still a few rougher spots on the inside, but I’m happy with it otherwise!
